About Deback
Deback is a free background remover that runs entirely in your browser. Your photos are never uploaded to a server — the AI model downloads once, then everything happens on your device.
Why we built it
Most background removal tools work the same way: you upload your photo, it gets processed on someone else's server, and you have to trust what happens to it afterward. Some keep copies. Some train models on them. Their privacy policies say so in the fine print.
We thought that was a bad trade for a simple task. Removing a background doesn't require a data center — a modern phone or laptop can do it locally in seconds. So we built a tool that does exactly that: open the page, drop in an image, get a transparent PNG. No account, no upload, nothing to trust us with because there's nothing to hand over.
What you get
- Background remover — single images, free, no sign-up. Your photo never leaves your device.
- Batch processing — up to 20 images per run, same on-device privacy.
- Guides and comparisons — honest write-ups on the tools in this space: what they cost, what the catches are, and where your photos actually go.
Who we are
Deback is a small independent project — a tiny team, no venture funding, no ads-driven data business. The tool is free and we intend to keep it that way. If the site ever shows ads, they'll be plain display ads; your images still never leave your browser, ads or not.
